Dear Garden Club Members,
Can anyone recall such wet Autumn as this; roads to the nurseries becoming flooded and the poor plants in our gardens in such waterlogged conditions? All this difficult weather just when we had started building and extending on our nurseries to both increase the size plus improve the facilities for you to enjoy. There is a special report from on our Angmering Nursery rebuilding, which we hope to have completed in February or March 2001. The Chichester building is on schedule, where we are extending our show house and putting a beautiful open sided area to display and sell many of our plants. We will be building new internal toilets and an area for you to enjoy some refreshments. which I know many of you have been looking forward to. Since our last newsletter Chichester has now a new pool and spar area run by Eauzone Pools Ltd.
and we have a new garden design area run by Cherry Burton. Cherry has an area displaying various styles of garden design and can offer design and advice for any size of garden.
Our plants are looking good for the year ahead; we have a superb Poinsettia crop for Christmas (yes, we have grown another 80.000 this year!) and we have planned some excellent crops for 2001.
We introduced the Customers Loyalty Cards for all Garden Club Members this year, so please remember to carry them with you on your visits to the nurseries as they give you extra discounts on your purchases of £10 and over. New cards are issued at the tills.
So, let us look forward to an exciting year ahead; there are always new plants, we are providing improved facilities and the interest in gardening and housepiants seems to grow from strength to strength.
