The loss of this large area of land has left us with no choice but to make some fairly major changes.
Our own Florist Department was started last year and is going from strength to strength. We have also been joined by Worthing Aquatics who we have managed to squeeze into the end of the shop on a temporary basis but they only have room at the moment for cold water fish and would like enough space to set up with tropical fish as well and a small outside area for ponds and liners.
The owners of manor Nurseries have therefore decided to take down the old glasshouses and to build a brand new shop and growing area. The car park will be levelled and upgraded at the same time.
The glasshouse currently used as the shop will be altered to enable it to be used as a covered area for bedding plants and shrubs. It is unfortunate that we will lose many of the established trees surrounding Manor Nurseries when the by pass is built, and therefore we will be planting a screen of hedging and trees this autumn to cut traffic noise to a minimum, and to keep your visits as pleasant as possible.
